Let's experience the art of sencha tea ceremony.
Bringing Sencha culture to the world

The Charm of Sencha Tea Ceremony
1. "Flexibility" that adapts to the times
Compared to the matcha tea ceremony, the sencha tea ceremony developed among Edo-period literati who enjoyed free interaction. Like the Higashi Abe school, which has continued since the Meiji era, its charm lies in its "flexibility"—preserving tradition while evolving the form of the tea ceremony to suit the times.

2. Four Principles for Calming the Mind: "Ryuze"
Through the act of preparing tea, we cultivate the following four qualities: gratitude, mutual respect, service, and reflection.
3. A single brew that enriches everyday life
Taking the time to focus on a cup of tea and appreciate its aroma and taste is a precious moment to reconnect with yourself in today's busy world.
Senchado Higashiabe style
The history and unchanging spirit of the Higashi Abe school
The Higashi Abe school of sencha tea ceremony was founded during the Meiji era and boasts a history of over 100 years. Its history began with the first headmaster, Yukimatsu Inao, and after enduring the difficult times of wartime evacuation, the third headmaster was Mr. Doi's grandmother. Subsequently, the fourth headmaster took over, and the tradition is now carried on by the fifth headmaster.
The four "flows of nature"
At the core of the Higashi Abe style are four spiritual pillars established by the founder.
Gratitude: Being grateful for everything in the universe that supports you.
Mutual concession: Having a spirit of giving in to each other.
Service: Having a humble spirit of service, always thinking "I am grateful to be allowed to do this" in any situation.
Reflection: Look back on both your strengths and weaknesses and use them to improve in the future.
